The Short Answer

I don't think most people do??? I'm an Apple fan. I have an iPhone, an iPad, and I'm typing this on a MacBook Pro. But I don't think they're revolutionary. What they are very good at, though, is taking existing technologies, and making them useful and therefore popular. They took the technology of using a mouse to point at things, which was developed in the 1970s, and made it mainstream. They took the idea of having a small device that holds your MP3s, built the iPod, and made the concept of MP3 players mainstream. Smartphones existed long before the iPhone, but the iPhone was the one which made smartphones mainstream. And so on. None of which is why I'm a fan. I'm a fan because their products suit my needs right now. Simple as that.
